The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Mrs. Nkechi Jane Egerton-Idehen, visited Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, on November 12, 2024. The visit was part of a strategic effort to deepen collaboration between NIGCOMSAT and the Adamawa State Government, focusing on leveraging satellite technology to address key developmental challenges in the state.
During her visit, Mrs. Egerton-Idehen met with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. They discussed the potential for using satellite communication solutions to drive growth in areas such as broadband connectivity, education, healthcare, and security, especially in the rural regions of the state.

One of the primary points of discussion was the provision of high-speed satellite broadband to remote areas in Adamawa State. Mrs. Egerton-Idehen and Governor Fintiri also explored the potential for satellite-enabled e-healthcare solutions. This initiative aims to equip young people with the skills needed to thrive in the growing ICT sector. - Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Job Creation:

As part of her visit, Mrs. Egerton-Idehen also met with the Special Adviser on ICT to the Governor.
